Q: What do I get in the performance?

A: Tons of fun, professional entertainment, glamour, audience interaction, and wonderful memories! A typical performance includes an exciting entrance piece with riveting rhythm changes. Following that, our dancers will invite the guest(s) of honour up to dance with them (always in a tasteful, fun manner) to an upbeat song. Depending on your desires, they will engage the audience in more interactive fun, or perform beautiful dances to specially selected music or combine the two. Shows always end with a rousing and fun dance routine. Our belly dancers frequently dance with veils, canes and finger cymbals. GYR8 Bellydance dancers' costumes and presentation are of the best quality available.

Q: How long is the performance?

A: Through years of experience, we have found that the absolute best length for a bellydance performance set is twenty minutes, though you might consider two sets with a break in between.

Q: I am looking for a performer for a bachelor party, are your belly dancers available?

A: No, GYR8 Bellydance does not perform for any all-male audiences under any circumstances. If you wouldn't want your children in the audience, then we won't be performing at the event.

Q: I am looking for a bellydancer to be a surprise for the bride and groom at the wedding, could I hire one of your dancers?

A: No, GYR8 Bellydance will only perform at weddings with the prior consent (and happy participation) of the bride and groom.

Q: What else do I need to know?

A: Performers require a clean room with a lock in order to change.

If you would like an exciting show (versus a costumed dancer for atmosphere), a 20’ x 10’ level floor and minimum ceiling height of 10’ is required. Please tell us the material of the floor surface.

We have our own sound system which is suitable for small, large and outdoor events, all you need to do is show us to the nearest power point.

Please tell our office what type of event this is when you book, and what the cultural background of the majority of the guests is. This will help the dancers in selecting the right music.

Please give the performers an accurate arrival and performance time so they can warm up and be fully prepared for a spectacular entrance at the time you’ve specified.

A nonrefundable deposit of £25 is required to hold the date for special event performances.
