Bellydance Superstars Raqs Britannia

 

Miles Copeland's world renowned Bellydance Superstars will be hosting Raqs Britannia at a fantastic new venue, the Sheffield City Hall, from 25 - 25th June 2010.

Europe's Premier Bellydance event begins on Friday 25th with an evening buffet, followed by the Guest Teachers and Performers Show in the Oval Hall. On Saturday there is a Middle Eastern Buffet before the new Bellydance Superstars Show and entertainment will continue in the Ballroom until the early hours.

In addition to the many workshops and classes taught by amongst others, Sharon Kihara, Petite Jamila, Sonia and Issam, Kami Liddle, bollywood teacher Lopa Sarkar and original Bellydance Superstar member, Tamalyn Dallal, there are performance spots available on the Open Stage throughout the festival.

Shimmy Into 2010!

GYR8 Bellydance are ready to welcome the new decade with some exciting changes! A new look website for 2010, exciting lesson plans that will challenge students of all levels and syncopated, scintillating choreography that will delight and enthral audiences!

2010 marks GYR8 Bellydance’s 5th anniversary and to celebrate we have launched a new look website (Designed by iCandy Design) and will hold and host several bellydance extravaganzas throughout the coming year in addition to regular weekly classes at The Lights in Andover.

On June 26, world renowned Middle Eastern percussionist and composer Hossam Ramzy and his wife Serena, a top class bellydancer, in conjunction with GYR8 Bellydance will host a day long workshop at the dance studio at The Lights, to be followed by a two hour bellydance extravaganza at The Lights Theatre with opportunities to perform for those who have participated in the workshop!
